Texas and Arizona earned their way, but the baseball playoff format is still a mess. Best of 3 in the first round is absurd, while the higher seeds get a week off. That's too much time off and the results show it. Baseball plays 162 games and teams almost never get more than one day off except the All Star Break...

The Vikings didn't go into "tank mode", they traded a terrible offensive guard that the fans wanted gone early last year already. That's the only former starting player that is gone (and not injured). They traded for a quarterback who wound up winning the game for them last Sunday.The Vikings just went into tank mode, dumping salary at the trade deadline after losing QB Kirk Cousins for the season last weekend. Too bad the World Series isn't being played on Sundays and isn't best 11-of-21 or something like that. It might just beat those NFL suckfests.

New England dominated the league for 20 years. Mac Jones ain't Tom Brady. Looking back, it's even more impressive what the Patriots accomplished in a league that's driven by parity...Yup, I was wrong about the Vikes. Looks like Dobbs was a great pickup.
