John C. Fountain, gone at 91

John had a long career in radio that began during his days in the U.S. Navy, in recent years he was S.I.D. and Director of Information Services at Easter Michigan University in Ypsilanti, MI. Among the stations he was associated with were: WHLS Port Huron, MI. WAAM Ann Arbor, MI and WEMU Ypsilanti, MI. John was also a member the Detroit Sports Media Association. Survived by wife Marge and four daughters, John was 91.

Re the bolded... no disrepect intended to Mr. Fountain, who I never heard of (RIP) but I always wondered where the original calls of Baltimore's WJZ-TV 13 wound up. Now I know, with help from Wikipedia.
