It's really amusing that they call the station a "blow torch". First, it´s one word, "blowtorch". Second, 1 kw in an area with about as bad ground conductivity as exists in North America is hardly a blowtorch.

I find it funny the station was launched November 6 and it took this long for someone to notice it. (I sure didn't). I wonder if any other station is going to pick up a Black Gospel format.

So, when the Ashland City AM went to the DJ that was doing his eclectic blend of music (country/hip hop), it would seem it went over like a lead balloon. No going Black Gospel is likely not a wise choice unless they improved their signal. I would start getting static at Peagram and at Charlotte Pike and I-40, nobody but a radio person would put up with it. Granted my last on site listening was back when Corky had the Ashland City station.

I've been without a radio for a couple months. I bought a vehicle which had a radio that worked until it didn't a week later. I took it out to see if there was a apparent problem. Turns out, someone beat the crap out of it trying to get a broken CD out of the CD player. Tossed it and got one from the junkyard. Now that daytime only AMs are all off when I go to work and when I get off, I can't hear many of them. Plus, I have a station to work on which the HD2 was off for months. Too busy to listen to other stations anymore.

It was sold twice since the days of Corky. Now it's under the ownership of the folks that own WNSR. WNTC programming (oldies) had been on two translators and WRFM in Drakesboro KY. One of WNTC's translators has an app to move from Ashland City to Nashville.

Here's more info from Inside Radio:

I suspect it's mainly automated, running nationally syndicated talk from VA.
WRNO? They couldn't even be bothered to get the calls right?
