WLBR Post-Christmas Format Flip ?

Fybush.com is reporting that WLBR 1270 is all-Christmas, signaling perhaps a format flip post-Christmas. Rather go back to something dreadful like the brief "WiLBuR 1270", why not carry WIP94 to broaden a top-rated Philly station's reach? Don't laugh - Audacy has used rimshot stations around
Boston to expand the reach of all-sport WEEI. WLBR already carries the Phillies.

Looking at Seven Mountains portfolio classic hits seems the likely direction, again. Right now WLBR doesn't have a FM translator though.

If you've paid attention to each and every move Seven Mountains makes as they enter a market and complete software upgrades, they eliminate all the Spoken Word formats in their portfolio. It won't be Talk and it won't be Sports. But there is another shoe waiting to drop.
I noticed that too. They must have something against spoken word formats, whether the programming is local or syndicated.

I've tuned into the online stream a few times and I heard a bumper saying "FM stands For Music coming January 2024" followed by a montage of hits from the 70s and 80s. Based off of that I'm assuming an FM translator and classic hits are on the way.

Co-located WFVY 100.1 has a CP to move their originating tower to the Blue Mountain ridge north of Levitz Park and PA443. Seven Mountains expanding the signal footprint.

I believe that CP was in place back in the Forever ownership days, not something Seven Mountains filed themselves. Still, it would give them a better signal into Harrisburg proper

Translator W262CW 100.3 FM has been off-the-air for a few days. Maybe Cumulus is switching clients for 100.3 ? (100.9 off of Reesers Summit covers much of the footprint of 100.3). Maybe a translator for WLBR 1270 to go along with format switch?

Nope. But the former 99.3 W257DI Reading applied on Monday to move to 99.7 Lebanon rebroadcasting WLBR. Filing requested expedited processing as it was delayed by the LPFM filing window, which was granted yesterday and the license to cover was filed last night as all they had to do was spin the antenna around the other direction.

Cumulus does not own 100.3 W262CW or 100.9 W265DE. Hope Christian Church of Marlton does. They simply lease an HD subchannel from WSOX to feed their "Hope-FM" programming. And W262CW may soon get displaced when 100.1 WFVY Lebanon completes its move closer to Harrisburg.

Thanks Lance (2 messages up). 99.7 Lebanon will miss Harrisburg, as 99.7 Mechanicsburg carries WXPH.
Lever, try 102.1 rebroadcasting WPDC, but it does not hit Harrisburg as well as 102.9 HYL

It's streaming Penn State basketball now. Was it still doing Christmas music before the game started? If so, maybe the new format starts after the game.
