if were being padantic here, it isnt a translator.

im guessing someone high up in the MPR system has a vacation home there, or had.. and it cost little to operate, so they p[uit the station there before internet streaming was what it is today
 
Been there since 1992.
Memory's a little fuzzy but the president of the university or MPR had a big house in Sun Valley and wanted to be able to hear his station so that was built.
