This guy:

And their old website directs to their tune in stream but some info gleamed form the preview in google search:
We're broadcasting a unique mix of independent public programming and the greatest music ever made - from the 60s, 70s, 80s, and more!

thats not what freq the applicaiton is for, obviously
Obviously, it is. Here's a footnote to the filing, from the site linked in the thread's first post.
"This request is actually for 87.7 (Ch. 198). Not valid for LPFM. Applicant is making a waiver request. While their engineering theory departs from that proposed in WIDE-FM, they do include a letter of consent from the affected Channel 6 LPTV station (WVCC-LD). "

Again, there is no prize awarded for "most posts on RD in the shortest period of time."

If you actually know the answer to something, by all means, share it. But if you don't and you're just guessing? That isn't helpful and it's something the moderation team will be looking at in the months to come.

I just saw a Facebook comment on an old newspaper friend's page that mentioned that the LPFM in Meriden will be launching next month. (The commenter was looking for coverage from the paper.) The format, as expected, will be Christian, but whether it will be music or preaching/teaching remains to be seen, as does whether it will be in English or Spanish. The owner is Shalom Christian Center, which operates a church called Iglesia Jehova Shalom downtown, so I'm assuming the programming will be in Spanish.

Launching next month would be a nice trick, since the FCC isn't likely to grant any CPs from this window anywhere near that quickly.

That had me wondering, too. The post did mention the frequency, 105.3. Hopefully the church isn't planning to launch as a pirate before the CP is granted. That might not sit well with the FCC.

Good luck to anyone trying to operate on 105.3 FM. WJYC-LP from Terryville will blow it out of the water. That's why the translator for WMRD in Middletown moved from 105.3 to 103.7

I'd imagine the target audience for the new station, if it does turn out to be Spanish-language Christian preaching, will be in and around downtown Meriden, not where you are in Southington. A low-power signal from Terryville would never be heard at all in that part of Meriden, so no interference possible.
