HD Radio updates only

This is a really common thing in litigious states. It's all over in Baton Rouge, Lafayette (my "home area"), and even in Miami-Fort Lauderdale (where I now live).
There's a line of billboards up and down I-10 in Louisiana. Last time I was there, over half of the billboards were for lawyers. A few sex shops, truck stops, restaurants and cheap motels seem to make up the rest.

I have friends in O&G and say the same thing you just said. Apparently the vast majority of lawyers in Southern Louisiana make their living by suing the O&G industry.

One kove and kama, the same lawyer “abogado gomel” 713-ABOGADO is on rds. On kltn another lawyer ”abogado sam” is on rds. Only kqbu does not have its rds asvertised.
I have a radio that sets its clock through RDS and I think only KOVE has the correct time. Everyone else in the market doesn't seem to care.

I checked a bunch of stations on September 26th. I didn’t get clock time on KOVE. 97.1 was Country Legends at the time.

Here are three examples, KQBT, KILT, and KLTN. It looks like the ones on KQBT and KILT are the same law firm, KLTN is a different one. Excuse the crappy photoshop job, figured it would be better than three individual full-screen attachments.

Channel Q 95.7 HD2 sounds bad. It sounds like there’s some static. It’s been like that since at least 12/30.

Yeah Channel Q was sounding like that before 12/30, not sure when though.

Thanks for the reports! I haven’t driven around and checked the HD around Conroe but I’m getting it locked at my place in north Conroe. I do usually get KJIC HD locked in a few places so south reception is excellent for me.
Not sure if anything changed, but over the weekend I noticed that it was back to its older better coverage. No more HD drops from Galveston up to Montco.

KLVH got song info in their RDS within the past hour for the first time since switching to K-LOVE. I thought that would be when they added HD back to 97.1 but I guess not.

Sounds like they tweaked the audio chain too, sounds rather exceptional. However, no RDS (or HD) this morning.

Probably has taken EMF some time to install and reconfigure things to their liking at the transmitter site. Supposedly a new transmitter was on order, wonder if that has hit the air yet?

I spoke too soon. I noticed around 1 AM the RDS was off again. I first noticed it was off the 1st, back the 2nd, and off again on the 3rd. Late night the 7th into the morning of the 8th it would randomly switch on for a second or 2 and be off for like 10 seconds.

99.1 HD3 is now “Magic”, which appears to be a syndicated version of the new WMIA-FM Miami. From the 15 minutes I heard, it’s a random mix of English-language soft AC with Spanish-language liners.

Reminded me a little of Classic 106.9/Monterrey, but without the personality.
