Supersnake Dies

To clarify, thread title is the headline of the linked story. What a disrespectful way to let people know (again, that's directed to AZFamily.) It's not fair this is the headline his family and loved ones are seeing.

Considering the news story includes a statement released by his family (which I also received from his employers at KMVA), I'm pretty sure they were notified before it was released. Not sure how it is disrespectful other than your post taking away from the discussion of his accomplishments.

I am absolutely certain that the story was embargoed to allow the family to communicate amongst themselves, as the AZ Family story, the social posts for the NYE party, and the social posts from KMVA all appeared at the top of the hour within minutes of each other.

I started hearing about it a couple of hours before it went public, but waited for It to hit the media before posting.

Snake was a good dude. I never met him, but I’ve yet to meet anyone in the business who didn’t love the guy, and that speaks volumes about him and his legacy in the Valley.

When I moved here and was looking for a gig, I dropped off my T&R at every station in town. Snake was one of the first people to return my call. He didn't have anything for me then, but I worked with him a couple times since, and he was always great to work with. Sure, there were probably a couple few people who might have clashed with him (and I won't name names) but for the most part...yeah. He was well-loved. The larger than life people leave a bigger hole when they're gone, and Snake leaves a canyon.
