Full Power Radio. No one calls it Red Wolf Broadcasting. That's just the name on the licenses.

If that's the name on the license, then that's what it's called. That John Fuller likes to call it Full Power using a cute pun on his own name doesn't matter.
There's a thing called a "DBA". All of iHeart's licenses say iHMLicenses, Inc., Many of Cumulus' are licensed to "Radio License Holding Company CBC, LLC". That's their business name. The companies operate under the more known name.
Fuller's company was Red Wolf Broadcasting, but switched years ago to being Full Power Radio. It does matter as that's the name on the letterhead and e-mail signatures that the business and advertising community knows it as now.
Thanks for the explanation. I didn't realize that a formal transition had been made, especially since none of the websites that report the Nielsens every month still call it Red Wolf.

The ratings info that most of the "other" sites use comes straight from Nielsen (which doesn't always change things when stations change). @Huff and I maintain the data on the RadioInsight PPM ratings, but unfortunately we're still using the straight Nielsen data for diary markets.
Isn't the data Nielsen uses the license data?

It was only a matter of time. That site has been used by the trucking company for ages. They may actually own the land.
Kind of sad to see the 1937 vintage site go away, however.
The WACM transmitter site needed two towers to maintain the directional signal of 1270 days (5,000 watts) and nights (1,000 watts). The new lower power AM station doesn't need a directional signal. WACM will likely relocate to a smaller footprint with only one tower. And the West Springfield site with two towers, on Palmer Avenue at Agawam Avenue, I supposed can be sold. It's near the Westfield River.
The FCC website simply says WACM COULD be broadcasting from this transmitter or COULD be broadcasting from the original one. Since the station has an FM translator, management doesn't think many listeners will care if the AM signal is downgraded.
