As much as I like '90s Rock, losing Carolina Gold is a shame since it is becoming less and less common on FM. I guess they are either trying to compliment or compete with WRMR and WKZQ.![]()
Carolina Country Returns To Myrtle Beach & Wilmington
After a few days stunting with the online programming of Classic Alternative "The Coast", 93.9 WGLD-FM Conway/Myrtle Beach SC andradioinsight.com
Now Classic Alternative "The Coast".
"Carolina Gold" goes online-only at Carolina Gold
Just tuned in '90s Rock The Coast', unid on 93.9. Wish some of the 103/104 wannabes would find a niche. Maybe 94.9 the Surf took some of the luster from Carolina Gold.as of noon today. Haven't any imaging, or jocks, but haven't listened much
WRMR can be picked up in MB?As much as I like '90s Rock, losing Carolina Gold is a shame since it is becoming less and less common on FM. I guess they are either trying to compliment or compete with WRMR and WKZQ.
I doubt it, but I was referring to 106.3 WYAY in Brunswick County which also broadcasts The Coast. That's where I listen to it and WRMR.WRMR can be picked up in MB?
Huh. Now 93.9 is playing country oldies Wed afternoon. Announced as 93.9 WMIR and then Carolina Country. No Coast, no Gold. What in the heck... Flavor of the day?
The web site still has Hootie or whatever that is. Not Darius. Although that doesn't have to match.Huh. Now 93.9 is playing country oldies Wed afternoon. Announced as 93.9 WMIR and then Carolina Country. No Coast, no Gold. What in the heck... Flavor of the day?
The market already has Hank for that. Although it's AM and a translator.
The Coast was filler by the outgoing operator to move his audience to the stream. The former owner reclaimed the stations as of January 1 after a default.Huh. Honestly put El Gallo on full power 93.9 and get all those translators outta here!Jeff andrulonis took the station back
Tell them to make an offer on it and I'm sure if its close to what MM1 paid, it would be accepted.Honestly put El Gallo on full power 93.9 and get all those translators outta here!
The 105.5 Hank FM (or 1450 AM if you really want that vintage sound) is easily received in Myrtle and NMB.106.3 is also playing Carolina Country. I love it, and it fits well in this area since we receive no other Classic Country stations.
I know, but 106.3 mainly covers Brunswick County where Hank usually doesn't come in.The 105.5 Hank FM (or 1450 AM if you really want that vintage sound) is easily received in Myrtle and NMB.
Yep. Some of the FMs we think of as regional in the Strand are really only regional because of repeater/ translators .. such as Easy 105.9 (or 100.7) or El Gallo (don't know the specifics but 102.3 and 103.5 anyway.) The 'locals' that don't (Kiss 98.5 and Fake News 94.5) can be a challenge to hear in some parts of Horry County.I know, but 106.3 mainly covers Brunswick County where Hank usually doesn't come in.
