W222BK app filed to remain silent

Last time I heard them, they were doing Birmingham Mountain Radio. The mix of music was very unique sounding. Hope they'll soon return and start broadcasting again. :)

P.S. Is this LPFM radio station simpleton allowed to wish for their return? :ROFLMAO:

Just my 2 cents worth, but with Mountain Radio being available on the 107.3 translator that covers most of north Shelby County as well as on the HD-2 signal of 97.3, wasn't having it rebroadcast on 92.3 redundant, or even overkill?

My opinion-
Kelly, the translator licensee is not underfunded. This could be a business decision or allocation of priorities.
There could be technical matters with the translator site or programming provider that are not under direct control of the licensee.
Even if a licensee's employees are doing everything correctly, sometimes it takes time to get things done.

Voicetrack, for once this isn't related to the Reynolds clan, ha ha. This translator came from WAY Media if I remember right, and Cox bought it many years ago. It's listed as having relayed WAY-FM before Cox got it, but I swear there was a period of time where it actually rebroadcast WUAL out of Tuscaloosa. If it did, though, I never bothered to note it on my website. Oh well.

SummitMedia filed to move W222BK west of Homewood several years ago. It was never built out and the construction permit was canceled in 2018.

@tomservo, didn't the Reynolds file to add an FM translator at 92.3 FM to cover Birmingham around that same time SummitMedia filed their app?
