Fox Adds Football to Friday Nights for Fall 2024

WWE Smackdown may leave the FOX Broadcast Network earlier than expected. A Friday Night schedule of Big Ten, Big 12, and Mountain West games was just announced. Right now, only two games in September fit the bill: BYU vs SMU on 9/6 and Stanford vs Syracuse on 9/20. Any Football Friday on Fox in Sep. will move Smackdown to FS1. As it stands now, games will most certain moved around to fill up most of these College Football Friday nights.

Excellent idea. I was wondering how long before Friday nights become more of a sports night like Saturdays. Viewership for news and programming isn’t great anyway

i wonder if WWE will just find a way out of the Fox deal early and just move SmackDown to YouTube for a month and move to USA in October as planned, Fox really trying to pull a Spike TV and screw WWE over while WWE's on the way out of the Network, i wouldn't be surprised if WWE moved the bigger stars of the SmackDown brand over to Raw in the 2024 WWE Draft to help boost the Netflix deal for Raw (even if Raw ends up airing on YouTube or Peacock exclusively until the Netflix deal goes into effect in January if Netflix doesn't reach a short term agreement to take the Raw episodes that air between October to January ahead of the deal).
