A friend tipped me off and let me know that 101.7 KYDA lit up their HD the other day. Air 1 is still the primary, K-Love is on the HD2 and K-Love 2000s is on the HD3.

EMF and KYDA filed a Digital Notification with the FCC today, stating the HD commenced on March 5.

Interesting they added K-Love 2000s to the HD-3. I think the K-Love station in Austin (KFMK 105.9) is the only other of their Texas outlets to offer it on an HD subchannel.

The K-Love master station list has been updated to include the DFW addition. I think we can be pretty certain EMF is still seeking a DFW FM for K-Love as a primary.

Yeah, I definitely agree. However, I was wondering if EMF would upgrade 101.7 to HD and put K-Love on an HD subchannel. I guess it’s one way to at least get the K-Love brand into to the market…

I don’t get which station they think they can get in Dallas. i mean it’s their business. but it just seems like such a waste of time to grab the call letters and crossing their fingers to see if a signal does come available

Estrella's radio stations and Uforia are up on the market.

Uforia is the audio streaming division of TelevisaUnivision, and nothing to do with Estrella.

I suspect the TelevisaUnivision stations would be sold as a group and retain their formats, while the Estrella DFW cluster has a better chance of being broken up among several new owners. KBOC 98.3 would be the best signal of the three, and a possibility for K-Love should EMF be unsuccessful acquiring a Cedar Hill stick.

I’m sure Hope Media Group, which has WAY-FM on 89.7, would love to get a DFW signal for its Vida Unida format. Last I checked VU was on the HD-2 of KAWA.
