Music on 87.9

Pirates don't care. They will Broadcast from a water tower

Who said it was a pirate?

Allegedly, a bridgeport, CT translator was in a tree and the northern california station was a station, not a translator and licensed

Monitored the 87.9 signal while out and about today. Along 290 it strengthens east of Pinemont, and the best reception is along the West Loop between the 290 and I-10 interchanges. Signal deteriorates south of the Galleria. Weak reception in the Med Center/Rice University area.

There use to be a Mexican church just east of downtown that use to run on and off from 2006 to 2014. Could this be the same church as before??

A Mexican church? So there were no Central Americans or South Americans in that church? They were all from Mexico? 😂 jk

Happy April fools everyone.

Tuned in this morning and was playing Intocable songs.

Intocable means untouchable in Spanish. And it’s a name of a Norteño Band from Zapata Tx.

Its highly directional from this building toward the southeast. 13000 block NW Freeway. Almost totally null on the other side of the building. If not on the roof, someone could have a put a yagi next to a window on the top floor.

I wonder if the null is because it’s inside. They don’t have RDS right?

I'm not an engineer, but I doubt it. The walls inside these types of buildings are typically made out of cheap Sheetrock, plaster, and evenly spaced metal studs. Maybe the frame of the building, but even then I don't think they would cause such a null.
