FCC Investigating WBAI

They're going to end up transmitting from the roof of an auto garage in Brooklyn. And will probably fall behind on the rent there too.
Forget an auto garage, the Ghostbusters Firehouse Hooks and Ladders Co. 8 would be an ideal location for WBAI. Just put the transmitter equipment in the basement right next to the Ecto-1 containment unit.

I tried listening online earlier tonight to see if anyone was going to be discussing what was going on or the fundraiser, and the host said a show called Off the Hook and another show would air “at their regular times”, but another show ran instead of Off the Hook. However, WBAI’s schedule has Off the Hook at 7 Wednesday nights. Get it together, WBAI!

The big problem is now that they don't have Gary Nunn, they don't have a ready source of revenue. None of their other shows have that kind of immediacy. So between the antenna bill and the FCC investigation, they have some real problems.

They could find Ariel, bring her back to Paramus Park and have a benefit there...

Even if the correct show aired, does anyone really think they'd handle the fundraiser in a competent manner, or just expect a magic wand to come from the sky with the needed cash?

Here in Houston Pacifica’s KPFT seems to have the least drama of the station group. Why do those other stations have all the fun?🤨🤨🤪🤪🤣🤣

Although they had their building sold out from under them. Probably to pay for WBAI's loan. Where are they located now?

Pacifica's headquarters building was also sold. They're running out of assets.

4504 Caroline St. in Houston.

Old studio location was in an area where original construction is from 90 to 110 years ago. Lots of teardowns and new high density developments in recent years.

If one of the Pacifica stations was to be sold to raise cash I suspect it would be KPFT. Seems to be the oddball of the group, comparatively speaking.🤪

Someone should photoshop the WBAI logo onto that building!😁
