KNBC WEEKEND MORNING NEWS

I am surprised that the station has not expanded TODAY IN LA WEEKEND. My suggestion to the time that they expand would probably be before TODAY and SUNDAY TODAY, while keeping their regular scheduled newscast. Then add a late newscast when the network doesn't have sports programming.

There is no room to expand especially on Sundays. Meet the press has priority on Sundays to cover national News.

Starting at 4AM? Very few people would tune in. Kabc starts at 5AM Saturday and Sunday

KNBC has no room to do so. Its the only hour they can do so (7:00am) because of Today beforehand, E/I programming afterward on Saturdays, Meet The Press on Sundays, its News Conference program as well, and then the rest of the time is for mainly NBC Sports programming. There's not much room for KNBC to work with.

Maybe the station can put their schedule as
Saturdays
4-6am Weekend Today
6 - 8am TODAY IN LA
8am Children programming or EI programming

Sundays
5am Sunday TODAY
6-8am TODAY in LA
8am meet the press
9am newsconference
9:30am TODAY in LA Late Edition (if no sports programming available from network)

When the network has less sports programming on some weekends, why not add more news instead of airing informmercials. I understand they can get more $ that way, but who's really watching when they have other viewing options. At least putting news gives viewers more incentive to watch the station than informmercials or reruns of local programming.

I'd like to see it, but I think KTLA owns that.
