Hey guys. Is there a way to delete my account. Been looking for the settings page to do so but can't find it. Thank you in advance!

The only person who would have had access at this time to activate that feature was @frankberry and until we finish the transfer of the site from his partner it needs to be done manually by an administrator. @Johnathan1995, I will be deleting your account momentarily.

I'm trying to think of what unspeakable evil would cause someone to delete their account on this website!
Well, semoochie, apparently we're not as lovable as we think:

All jokes aside, it's actually a very smart thing to do:

Please delete mine too. As i never worked in the industry, im out of my league. So please delete me asap.

Not just that. People have a tendency to reuse passwords across multiple sites. There's nothing to prevent it. There are no technical controls possible to prevent reuse, since there's no such thing as federated identity for the general public. (Microsoft tried that with Passport but distrust of Microsoft was so great that few people adopted it). Thus, a password on a forgotten account may well be the key that unlocks an account that is being used. Ensuring that unused accounts are deleted is a way of controlling that risk. The best way to control that risk is not to reuse passwords at all, but we all have to juggle multiple accounts and keeping track of passwords and IDs is a pain in the [bleep]. So people take the easy path because they're people.

Federated identity: in practical terms, the ability to log in to one site and then use the fact that you've been authenticated to log into other sites.

Exposure to thirty years of cybersecurity jargon, and being part of the evolution of that field, probably has caused my writing to go to crap.

The site isn't for those who just worked in the radio, but to ask questions and be willing to learn. If you still want your account removed sure, but you're not out of your league here.
Im starting a new career and new marriage. Its time for me to leave this group with a lot of good luck to your groups future.
