WHUD Why did they Split up Mike & Kacey ?

I think it is pretty simple, to save money.
That's my take too. Seems obvious. But I was curious if the OP had any opinion him/herself or was just stating the obvious.
Well Thanx so much for replying. Some replies I’ve received told me it was obvious. WHUD wanted to save money. Mike & Kacey were together 24 years ?? I think Management took a chance by splitting them up & losing listeners.
There had been other layoffs earlier. The overnight position was eliminated a few years ago. The program director and music director/midday host were let go about a year ago. And evenings were switched from a live local host to the syndicated John Tesh Show.
So the station is now running with only three live, local DJs, Mike Bennett mornings, Kacey in middays and Andy Bale in afternoons. There's a DJs name listed for overnights, Jimmy Lyles. But I'm guessing he's voice tracking it from another market. A sure sign is that he's listed seven days a week, including weekend evenings. I'm not sure if the station still has weekend DJs or is voice tracked or automated on weekends.
Is there an off-air program director anymore? I'd guess someone at co-owned Albany AC station WYJB probably covers WHUD too. Why have two adult contemporary PDs 100 miles apart?

Scotty Mac the program director of K104 is also the program director of WHUD. Jimmy Lyles is the promotions director for K104, WHUD, 92.9 and 96.5 WBPM, 92.5 WGHQ and does shifts on K104 and 92.9 and 96.5 WBPM .
Jimmy Lyles can attest that Jimmy Lyles lives 5 minutes from the station and is on 7 days a week… lol

Lance Venta's RadioInsight reports that Kacey had left WHUD and the radio business entirely . She took a job outside the broadcast industry. Pamela is looking for her replacement.

Mike Bennett is doing his own news in the morning now, albeit top 3 stories. Ben Patton who was on Magic 590 is the traffic guy. Gone are the days when there was a different voice for different elements, but you it's a survival game now.

I do like Mike Bennett cause he's the morning man for 100.7 WHUD, weekday mornings from 5am to 10am.
