Nobody has posted the March numbers, so I guess I will do so: Dallas/Fort Worth - RadioInsight

Fascinating to see rimshot KRNB tied for second place.

Hope Media Group’s Way-FM (KAWA) now in the threes, has that ever happened? Sibling KSBJ in Houston now #1 in that market.

What is now a holding company stand-alone KFZO with a 0.3. This has to be setting a lot of money on fire for those behind Latino Media Network. Format flip or sale coming?

I completely agree with 101.9 La Calle. I fully expect 99.1 and 1270 to be sold off sooner, rather than later.

Imagine what 105.7 could do in the beauty pageant if it was broadcasting from Cedar Hill. Just goes to show what a rimshot can do if it's programmed correctly and provides a format with mass appeal to the area it covers.

Possibly an ugly time for selling those two. With the likelihood of an Audacy-Cumulus merger placing a bunch of spin-offs on the market, plus the rumored sale of the Estrella Media stations, a lot of pieces might suddenly be in play.

If they were smart relaunch the Eagle. But no one in Dallas seems to think it’s a good idea even though other rock stations have returned have done well. Especially when they have the mavericks already and are still in the playoffs. You’re not to change ro anything else and keep an nba basketball team on your signal
 
I have a gut feeling it won't be a return of the Rock format, either. (Sure hope I'm wrong.)

My gut feeling is some syndicated bonehead (*hint hint*) will show up in mornings (doubly hope I'm wrong about that).

Per the Dallas Observer, quoting Rhyner, The Eagle will indeed fly again.

It is possible the people who were fired were told lies with regard to the station's next direction.

It's happened before.

That said, I would love to see the Eagle make a return as a rock station (with a playlist akin to KIOZ San Diego or WXTB Tampa).

I'm a bit surprised iHM is cutting bait with The Freak so soon. I figured it'd be safe until late year.

maybe so, it might be possible the Eagle branding might work for a news/talk format that fits with the "i'm a patriot" type of listener that listens to WBAP, KRLD-AM, KSkY or KLIF.
 
It'll go back to rock and be called The Eagle. What the exact format of that "rock" station will be remains to be seen.
