Eastern north carolina jocks

I started my radio career as a young marine broadcaster in 1975 at WJNC playing classical music on Sunday nights and I worked alongside Tim Downs and Mike shadeed and Steve early and they were all great guys and I knew Jim Kelso and all his crew over there and they would come visit me when I got a full-time job working nights while I was a Marine again this is 75/76. I just read that Steve early had passed away in 2023. He had a great voice and was a really nice guy and so was Tim Jan bean worked the countryside WRCm. She would have a guy sitting on the floor, mixing her drinks while she was on the air, but she had a wonderful radio voice and went to the countryside of WXQR before she went on channel 12 as a news anchor. I did some weekend radio work while Marine at WSL with Eric O'Day and Richard Taylor in the late 70s and then I worked Q105 in Havelock from 79 until 88 and now I do communications for the federal government, but I should be retired at 69. Pat,

A few educated guesses and vague memories.

Tim Downs left WJNC in late 1976, maybe early 1977, went to a radio station in New Jersey.

Mike Shadeed died in the late 1970s or early 1980s.

I have no idea were Steve Early went and I see there is an obit, and I see your comment.

Jim Kelso moved up to Kinston and was teaching at Lenoir Community College. He has long been passed. I guess it was the eqrly 1980s when I had any contact with him.
