Like everything else in this thread, it's almost certainly a guess from a non-insider.
No. And there won't be until and unless someone emerges as a buyer.
When that happens, it will be public knowledge. You'll probably read it first (like most such news) on Radio Insight.
If there's not a buyer in the next few months, Emmis will keep the station and presumably run some sort of interim format on it while holding out for a buyer.
Everything else is just speculation without any basis in reality.

You don't think that the trades would publish a timely news update about a signal in New York?
The trades only report facts. There are no facts in play here until a buyer comes forward and both parties agree to make its identity public.

There are both insiders and outsiders here and part of the fun of a forum like this is discussing rumors and speculation. Anyone who doesn't want to do that is welcome to disengage and wait for a press release or for the trades to report the news.
This is a bit of an off-topic question, but enough on-topic to warrant its inclusion:
Where are 98.7’s studios? Are they with WLIB? Is the programming originating with Good Karma and they use the Emmis studios as a pass-through or does it go directly to the ESB from Good Karma?

AFAIK the programming originates with GKB and goes directly to the ESB. WEPN lists its address at 575 Lexington Avenue.
The content still originates from ESPN facilities as does the national ESPN Radio network, which is now operated by Good Karma in partnership with Disney.
WLIB technically operates out of MediaCo's facilities, where their staff oversees engineering for 1190 and 98.7 too, but all the programming is syndicated so there is no dedicated studio.
There have been no developments, or any public indications of a deal, and haven't been for months. I'm not exactly sure how any reasonable level of speculation can take place when we just don't know anything.
The national feed is still in Bristol I believe.
Thus thread will likely end with "I didn't see that one coming."
