ME-TV Toons

All the original news reports from Variety, TVLine, and NextTV about MeTV Toons have been taken down. A report about MeTV Toons from The Desk explains why: Weigel launching MeTV Toons with classic cartoons on broadcast, streaming platforms
The development of the channel was made known through a press release that was sent to some entertainment trade publication early Wednesday morning, including Variety, Future’s Next TV and Penske Media’s TV Line. A spokesperson later followed up with an email saying the release was accidentally sent without an embargo. An embargo is an agreement between a source and a publication that prevents the disclosure of certain information until a specific date and time.

Appears this will replace the duplicate feed of ME-TV Plus in some markets; such as on 51.2 and 51.3 on KYAZ here in Houston.

It isn't listed for Memphis or Jackson, TN, but I hope it will at least be available on Frndly streaming.
I hope we get it here in Memphis. I would imagine it will be on Frndly on Philo. I’m just surprised we still don’t have Weigel’s other most recent station Dabl in Memphis.

I'd like to see them carry some of Cartoon Network's shows like Toon Heads, Late Night Black & White, and the Tex Avery and Chuck Jones shows that CN had in their early years.

If MeTV Toons comes to Kansas City, MO, I imagine that it will replace Nosey on KMBC-TV, Ch. 9.4, HSN on KCWE-TV, Ch. 29.4 or even be added to KCWE-TV, Ch. 29.3 which is currently blank.

Could also possibly end up as a KSMO-TV subchannel.

I hope that it, at least, comes to a full power TV station in the Kansas City area as I can't get any of the KC area low power TV stations reliably (I am in Carrollton, MO (65mi Northeast of KC.), & the only KC area LPTV station that comes in on a semi regular basis is KCDN-LD.).

We may hear about more TV stations picking MeTV Toons up the closer we get to June 25.

MeTV is a great channel airing the classic show with some of their original programming such at Toon In With Me and Collectors Call. Toony and Bill the Cartoon Curator have a great banter and its very entertaining.
