Based on the comments about moving the board listings, I'm interested in finding out more about how readers utilize the board to find new topics. Which of the following forms do you use most to find new posts?
Both. I don't believe we've changed anything that greatly changes the UX of the site, and the results of the poll so far backup how we thought most use the site.Hey Lance,
Just curious if you meant now or before the changes on the poll.
also, thanks for taking your time to get our feedback, i know first hand running communities can take a lot of work.
I used to check the main page to see what the "last post" on each major board was.Based on the comments about moving the board listings, I'm interested in finding out more about how readers utilize the board to find new topics.
Understood. but the What's New section gives a wider view of all activity beyond just the one recent post as well.I used to check the main page to see what the "last post" on each major board was.
But due to the changes, that is no longer possible from the mobile homepage. IMO, it shouldn't take some scrolling and two clicks to check markets such as Houston or Dallas. I understand that decluttering was the goal, but I'm just not feeling the change. Right now, an active topic in Topeka, KS can overshadow DFW and Houston on the homepage.
The "New Posts" is my go-to link I slam really hard when popping in here.Understood. but the What's New section gives a wider view of all activity beyond just the one recent post as well.
This is what I do. I also go to certain boards and look for topics that are bold meaning there are posts I haven't seen. There is also a list of topics with new posts on the right. There's a little bell on top of my screen. I click on that first, read, comment when necessary
