WNJE AM 920

testing, perhaps —that ID was at 1700 then 10 minutes later it was off
My guess is that since the station has an STA, the test will reset the clock, so to say? I don't have much knowledge of the industry, but a listener. I believe that KQV in Pittsburgh would run something on it for a short period before it went silent until a buyer was found.
Is Townsquare trying to bring it back on the air? Time will tell, I guess.

When your tower site is 13 acres of desirable land adjacent to I-95 in Yardley worth tens of millions of dollars (which your station owner sold off years ago) and you're an AM running 24/7 syndication with low revenue this is bound to happen.
Back in the day, Trenton was a major industrial city. And the original calls for 920 AM were WTTM, which they said stood for "World Takes what Trenton Makes".

As a former Trenton adjacent resident, the slogan is really "Trenton Makes, The World Takes" but the station reordered it to fit its calls.
