99X continues to be the highest rated Cumulus station in Atlanta, more than a point ahead of Q99.7. Were it not for The Bert Show, I’d hate to see how 99.7 would perform. 99X is actually beating a lot of more powerful signals. Extremely impressive.

Nice finish for Fish. Lowest rating for Star in quite a while. Cox has 4 of the top 5.

96.7, on its limited class A signal, actually BEAT the much stronger (and Latino friendly in terms of signal) 105.7 signal with its regional Mexican format! I know it’s margin of error level, but I haven’t seen 105.7 do this poorly in quite some time.

Star needed to do something different and has had some success with Rhythmic AC. But I recently watched a YouTube video of Craig Hunt on Star. It reminded me of what a great station Star was in the late 90’s and early 2000’s. It’s really now a shell of its former self.

Power 105.3 is surpassing 96.1 the Beat on a weaker signal? I guess we will see how this plays out over the next few months.
With the racial makeup of Atlanta's neighborhoods, 105.3 is a good "urban" signal. Very similar to 104's signal. Of course 96.1 and V103 are market covering signals it could get interesting.

If the rumored Cumulus Audacy merger happens, the combined company will have to dump a signal. Could Radio One score a good signal and mess up iHeart's plans?

The signal that would probably be divested would be 100.5 if they wanted to keep the most powerful signals. However if things continued as they have been I can’t see Radio One messing with 99X.

If 99X is still on 100.5.
Q’s numbers have been horrible recently, joining the trend of many other struggling CHR’s. Even if most of Power’s audience migrated there, it’s not going to do much for them. If The Bert Show is still the big draw, how awful would their numbers be without it? 99X is proving it’s not a flash in the pan. I’m not ready to say Q can’t come back, but it’s not going the right way.

25-54: 1. WSRV 2. WSB-FM 3. WNNX 4. WVEE 5. WAMJ/WUMJ 6. WHTA
18-34: 1. WSB-FM 2T. WZGC & WWSZ-AM 4. WSRV 5T. WSB-AM, WVEE & WHTA
18-49: 1. WSRV 2T. WVEE & WNNX 4. WSB-FM 5. WALR 9. WWWQ
Interesting that B98.5 and WSB-AM are so popular 18-34.

The Game at 92.9, Q at 94.1, 99X at 99.7, New Country 101.5, and V103 could make for a very strong cluster.

I wonder if the Dickeys would be interested in 100.5 to put Fan on a full market FM? It iHeart unloaded 96.7 and got 100.5?

None of this with Audacy and Cumulus could ever even happen for all we know, but it’s fun to speculate.

If the merger happens, what kind of a time frame are we looking at when it finalizes?
