Magic 94.5 KZMJ Canceled???

Just did a very quick look at the station records. I think this has to do with an Aux site, not the main facility. Application is dismissed and inactive.

Thanks heavens! I thought Urban One had absolutely lost their ever-loving minds. When I saw the facility #6386, my heart sunk to my stomach. Glad to know this is all for naught.

This is why you need to actually read the filings.

They cancelled the Auxiliary license. My assumption is you saw this on @Michi's FCC.Today where the Aux/Booster cancellations get lumped in with the primaries.
It's been dismissed already. It was filed in error. If I were guessing, Urban One was trying to cancel the booster 94.5 has had that didn't enhance the coverage, but that's just a guess.
Dismissed in this term means cancellation of the license. And it was the Aux.

The filing said facility #6386. That is KZMJ Gainesville. Not a booster, not an auxiliary. That facility number belongs to the main. Open the link I posted. I can read, partner.

To our defense, the new FCC licensing system can be difficult to navigate. I don't know about you, but I'm still getting the hang of how it works and figuring out where everything goes.

I'm glad some people have figured it out, though.

@Kent yes it can. My comment was in response to being told I hadn't read the filing. I had. Several times to make sure I was reading it correctly before I posted the thread. There are actually two different filings that show up in the database.

This one indicated the CXL of KZMJ.

This one shows the CXL for KZMJ's auxiliary.

FCC.today does a scrape of the application list on the FCC LMS public view. In some cases, some applications for auxiliary or boosters show up there as FM broadcast (full-service). This is why sometimes we see this happen.
