Highway 1

Bonneville broke up the 96.5 HD2 & 98.5 HD2 simulcast. 98.5 HD2 is now Magic and plays soft rock. While 96.5 HD2 is still Highway 1, it's now mostly gold-based. I actually listened a fair bit before since they were a good source of new music. However, now with Live105 back and KEXP/KEXC in the Bay, perhaps not many people were going to make the trek to HD2.

Highway 1 is more of an AAA I find too, its music is not that comparable to most alternative stations.

I remember when KOIT was "lite rock, less talk". It was more of a soft AC back then; It's still AC, but it seems more current-based than before.

It looks like the HD2 on 98.5 is attempting to return to that softer sound. I'll have to check it out sometime.

Up until they went to an entirely gold direction a month or two ago, I listened to this station a lot. It was, IMO, the perfect AAA station.

I listened to Magic for awhile this morning. So far, the playlist sounds nearly identical to 98.1 The Breeze.
