Any promotion advice please?

I would like to promote my educational radio station. Any advice?

FCC licensed station, part 15 or internet streaming?

Here, youd be promoting it to radio people and radio nerds.

If its a local FM or AM station, id buy social media ads on fb and geo target people in certain area codes.

Hi SomeRadioGuy,
Thanks for your prompt answer. Just a quick introduction; I teach English as a foreign language and the radio station is designed to help English teachers and their students. We broadcast 2 educational shows at the start of every hour and for the rest of the hour we play music that just doesn't get played on other (more commercial) stations. On the commercial side, I advertise the teaching services of various teachers and always mention my website where any prospective student can book a trial lesson with a particular teacher. My plan is to interview these teachers when I get a bigger audience. My audience is tiny (although I'm happy to say that I've picked up a few listeners all around the world - Iceland and Greenland are still not listening though). It's an internet streaming station which broadcasts 24/7. I'm based in Poland but I'm from Ireland. I like your idea of advertising locally so I'm looking for local radio hosts (a local psychologist with a great radio voice has expressed interest in the project). I'm also actively looking for local musicians, especially local singer songwriters to promote. I honestly don't mind who listens! I got the station listed on Radio Garden to attract radio enthusiasts. If "radio nerds" want to listen then fair enough! One angle I thought of is reaching out to the Polish and Irish diaspora in the US with some smart radio that's relevant to their lives, I really think there's a gap in the market there. It's a new station so please don't assume that I know anything at all!
