Does Salem have a case?

People make propaganda movies all the time. That's not the issue here. They defamed a private citizen and said he was committing a crime. That's stepping over a line.
And, if that accused private citizen, company, or organization can prove they've been harmed physically or financially, then they've proved a form of intentional defamation. We saw that with the 'pink slime' defamation suit against ABC, more recently with Dominion Voting Systems against Newcorp/FOX News. However, the Newcorp was an out-of-court settlement because their lawyers were rightfully concerned Newcorp would lose and the damages could be well over a billion.

And let's be clear: Salem did not want to be told "no" or to water it down. They weren't looking for a "responsible" approach. This movie was propaganda with no basis in fact intended to further the lie that the 2020 election was stolen.

It’s both propaganda and defamation, and was clearly done with Salem’s endorsement.

Now if this does go to court, will we see the insurers throw Salem under the bus?

We see this too with Rudy Giuliani and he had to appear in the State of Arizona for a booking and Mugshot all for the same exact stuff but specifically for inciting defamation in that state. This is the reason he was listed as co-defendant in that case and in the Smartmatic case.
