The Netflix NFL Dilemma

So Netflix outbids CBS/Paramount; NBC/Peacock; FOX and ESPN/ABC for two NFL Games on Christmas Day. And now they find themselves looking to cut some sort of economical deal with one of them to get those games up and live streaming!!!!

Good Luck With That 😁

Yeah, they've got plenty of time. There are plenty of former TV sports producers and crews rattling around that they could put together a top-notch broadcast pretty quickly.

That’s about as much time as it took for Fox back in 1994.

I can see ESPN offering to do the production in exchange to allowing them to use the video for their Manning Cast.

There will be no problem with contracting production for the Netflix game. Look at all the NFL preseason games that are regionally distributed. Those are all contracted out to various production companies by the teams or home market station rights holders.
