Boston Celtics wins the NBA Finals

It will be interesting to see the final ratings for this one given that two of the top 10 DMA's were in the Finals this year.
Pretty sure ratings were high for Games 1-3. Game 4 was a blowout on Friday. Last night, Boston won comfortably so a slight dip is possible. 18th NBA Championship for the Celtics is a compelling storyline. Redemption for Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum winning their first title...

For the most part the whole series was a bore. Every game was non competitive.
Sports guarantees nothing. Many Super Bowls have been one sided. People are probably more interested in betting lines and fantasy stats these days. The Celtics went wire to wire. Best team in the regular season and 16-3 in the playoffs. Greatness may be boring to some...

as a Dallas Mavericks fan, this series was a total fail for the Mavs, they had a combo of Kyrie Irving not being able to handle the pressure of coming to Boston after he left the Celtics on bad terms and is alleged to be cursed in that city, Luka Doncic having so many minor injuries that instead of continuing to play, he should had just set out and let his body heal up, and young and inexperience players playing their first ever NBA finals and it really show, plus Boston has already proven to be why they won the championship with the best win/loss record in the league for the entire regular season.

this is gonna be called the worst NBA Finals by many who felt that Boston didn't deserve to win the championship and had a easy road to the finals, but truth be told, sometimes the best team in the regular season is the best team in the league and truly earned that championship. congrats to Boston on winning a historic 18th championship. i'm sure Luka will get his ring and the Mavs get it second Larry O'Brien trophy in the next 10 years unless this current Celtics team is destined to become the decade's dynasty in the NBA as NBA seems to have every decade be defined by a dynasty team.

The 2020s so far look more like the 70s to me, when you had various teams win a championship and no real dynasty. You had 8 different teams win a championship in the 70s, with only the Knicks and Celtics winning more than 1 (they each had 2). I have a feeling that will continue. The bad thing for the west might be that you will have Denver, Dallas, Minnesota and Oklahoma City beating up on each other, how will they fare against an Eastern team that may have had an easier path.
