This is a lot like what I do with the internet radio station that I'm in charge of at the university where I am going to for my Bachelor's in Broadcasting. I saw the increase in Gold CHR stations, and I wanted to create a station that sounded like those Throwback, I call it Young Classics, stations but a lot better.
I really like that Throwback 100.3 is doing something similar to the station that I program, 1990s-2010s CHR. The main difference is that Throwback 100.3 goes from around 1990 to 2015, and my station goes from 1993 to 2017. Also, we lean more on the 2000s and 2010s, given the student population of my university mostly being people between 18 and 25, whereas Throwback 100.3 leans more 1990s and 2000s, at least from my experience of listening to the station.
My peers absolutely love the station, and I am hoping to get it spread throughout the entire university. I'm not naming either the university or the station, that way I don't distract too much from the conversation as well as not breaking the rules on this forum.
