WBNX Fall 2024

As they usually do, WBNX unveils their fall schedule way ahead of the game, and here is the 2024 version.

Same basic layout as '23

Crime dramas early mornings, sitcoms in "morning drive", court shows midday, the super mega game show block from 2-10p, more sitcoms late evenings, and tabloid/true crime/reality late nights.

They managed to squeeze in a 7th daily showing of "Family Feud" at 8:30a.

As far as new sitcoms, they will add "Bob ❤️ Abishola",

They have yet another new game show - "The Flip Side" hosted by Jaleel White (aka Steve Urkel on "Family Matters" for you children of the 90s)

Pretty much status quo on weekends, with new entry "NCIS Hawaii" added to the mix.

Apparently, the Ninety and Nine Club has disbanded.

Nice that they still air movies, albeit only on Saturday.

90 and 9 has been off the lineup for something like the last 5 years on 55.1.

Now they played old episodes ad nauseum on 55.2 when it was the Happy Channel until January 2022 when it flipped to Buzzr.

Still say Buzzr must be doing real well for them - so much so that they loaded up on game shows on the main channel.

Recently, I have been watching To Tell The Truth on Buzzr at 9:00 pm. It is the 70s version hosted by Garry Moore with panelists Kitty Carlyle, Bill Cullen, Peggy Cass and a rotating 4th panelist. I would probably watch Buzzr more if they didn't air that long block of Match Game in the evening. I'm not a big fan of that one.

And to this day, Buzzr still hasn't fixed that awful frame rate judder in their feed, which makes the network unwatchable and has chased me away from watching on 55.2. This has been going on even as far back as to when the network was still on WEKA-LD. The Buzzr stream (Samsung TV Plus, Roku) is unaffected, so something is bugged with their satellite feed. I believe I spotted it on WJBK when I decoded them a few years back.
