They preempted that for this?

did KTVT do something simlar with KTXA when the Texas Rangers won the World Series last year.
Probably didn't bother doing any postgame considering the Mavs lost. I remember when the Mets lost the WS to the Royals in 2015, WABC did a scroll across the bottom of the screen of the result & reminded viewers to tune in to Eyewitness News This Morning for coverage, something similar in DFW would've sufficed.

Thursday June 27, 2024 is the 2024 Election Debate night hosted by CNN on all the main local channels ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox along with some news networks like NewsNation, Fox News, MSNBC.
PBS as well, thank goodness nowadays, kids programming is pretty much restricted on their stations to mornings. Locally, here in Phoenix, in addition to the reg. broadcast nets, independent KTVK will air the CNN debate too, bumping Wheel of Fortune foward to 5PM, Jeopardy! remains in the normally scheduled 7:30 slot with a half-hour of Good Evening Arizona leading into the debate while sister CBS affiliate KPHO airs the CBS Evening News a half-hour early at 5:30. KNXV (ABC) will show World News Tonight live at 3:30 which is standard for them whenever they show ABC primetime stuff live.

PBS still airs children's programming till 5:30pm in Iowa

For those who have ABC stations in the Pacific Time Zone, if Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, or something else is scheduled to start at 8pm, they may be joined in progress because of the NBA Draft.

Forgot to post that this past Monday KEYC CBS and KMNF NBC Mankato, MN from 9am until 7pm had news about the flooding due to the Minnesota River and the Rapidan Dam issue. Its been pretty crazy here with the flooding. Numerous roads closed and the River carved its own path around the dam and took out a historical house. Even national news has shown it

In Mankato all the stations are owned by Gray (KEYC CBS & FOX, KMNF NBC and CW). Fox had regular programming all day.

In Miami, FOX affiliate WSVN is foregoing network coverage of the Presidential Debate & doing their own with Craig Stevens & Lynn Martinez (in for Belkys Nelky). Not surprising considering how they tend to cover nat'l news stuff rather than taking FOX News, usually opting for CNN & their Newsource service.

Back in April, when they find out that the Red Wings missed the playoffs for an 8th straight season via tiebreaker with Washington Capitals, ABC affiliate WXYZ did scroll at the bottom of the screen and viewer has to tune in all day the next day are very disappointing that the NHL playoffs didn't come to Little Caesars Arena.

With the debate running past 7:30 local time, KTVK is showing Jeopardy! in its entirety seeing it still going past their scheduled 8PM news time. Wonder if it's a new episode or like Wheel of Fortune, their season is over & it's a rerun.

I Googled it and found that Jeopardy’s season finale is July 26. So it’s a new episode.

What markets are doing their own Fourth of July fireworks specials on TV? I know Nashville is.

Tonight's episode of Jeopardy was preempted in its entirety in many U.S. markets due to news coverage on Biden holding a press conference.
And for many that had it on at 7 before the Biden press conference, it got cut off around Final Jeopardy for coverage. It delayed the ESPYs for a half-hour on ABC for ET/CT audience although it technically did start in L.A. at 8:15 Eastern, seeing spoiler tweets of actual winners even before the ceremony goes to air.

They aired it in its entirety at 7:30pm on ABC in Des Moines.

WHO 13 did not interrupt Wheel of Fortune and it aired the whole episode. It joined NBC coverage at 7pm when Law & Order was supposed to air and it was joined in Progress at 7:30pm.

KDSM 17 joined in Progress of the news conference at 7pm with Fox News from Fox News Channel and they aired Don't Forget the Lyrics in its entirely at 7:30pm.
