The RNA transmitters date back to the 1970s and have been quite troublesome in recent years. Supposedly there were plans to replace them with new Brazilian-made units running DRM, but that hasn’t happened yet. The transmitter manufacturer in Porto Alegre (BT) apparently discontinued its shortwave products a few years ago, and I haven’t heard any updates for carrying the DRM project forward.
Then perhaps the picture of a radio tuner wasn't a dead giveaway.6khz? you mean 200... this should be on 11780
I checked the Brasilia Kiwi SDR around 2045 UTC July 2, and found RNA with a very distorted and unintelligible signal on 11967, so the transmitter that is supposed to be on 11780 is once again severely out of whack. This has happened a number of times in the past with even worse modulation and farther off frequency.Yes they have had problems lately, @Mediafrog+ ... and they only run thesew 250kw units at 100kw.. but ive noticed several breakdowns in the last fe4w years
My head hertz seeing this.6khz? you mean 200... this should be on 11780, @PTBoardOp93
