Howard Eskin Banned from CitBank Park

We used to have a section for people who get fired over sex abuse charges. So here's Howard Eskin getting banned from Citizen's Bank Park because of unwanted advances:

Wonder how his son will react.

Note: I appended the title to say "Citibank Park" instead of just "Citibank".

BTW CitiBank is a different company from Citizens Bank. CitiBank used to be City Bank of NY.

The abbreviation for the ballpark in Philly is CitBank, which is correctly spelled in the subject.

Despite being a rather active investor, I did not know the difference between CitBank and City Bank. My first checking account at age 17 was at the National City Bank branch in Quito in 1964... now CitiBank everywhere. I did not even know there was a CitBank without the "i". I wonder if it is as confusing to consumers as this is to me.

This brings up a totally unrelated subject which is that of "invented" names. In the TV and media arena, we have some that are sort of identifiable like Hulu and Peaccock. But there are others that are "letter salads" and as hard to remember as those made-up names of prescription drugs.

In one of my college marketing courses, I learned that new entrants in a crowded field have a hard time building brand identity. When the brands are meaningless bunches of letters, it seems even harder.

The bank itself doesn't use the CitBank abbreviation. They call themselves Citizens. Part of the Citizens Financial Group.

There is also a CIT Bank, which is an online bank, not related to either.
