June numbers are here

Catching up to what? KLTN is a shadow of what it use to be. If sbs was to launch regional Mexican tomorrow with a PD that actually knows Houston KLTN would be easily taking the back seat! 8 Months later since RB left the building and the station is a mess. New inexperienced on-air talents. The station is not what it was. At this point KQQK is a better product and has had better numbers for most of 2024.

And what would such a PD do because "Houston is so unique"? I have spent a career making #1 stations out of formats everyone said "won't work here because this market is different". It's just not true.

Remember, the morning show crashed well before Bryndis was let go. The show simply became "same old, same old" and declined over the prior year. Bryndis' efforts to reinvent himself just made it worse.

Well if you ask Raul he will tell you that the show started to decline when Univision started to get more involved with what the flow of the show was and started including more music breaks and eliminating key segments and participants of the show. Knowing all the elements I tend to agree. BMF is not and will not work in Houston.

I would say Houston is unique in how many "Regios" call Houston home. I don't think any other US market has a massive concentration of Northeastern Mexicans like Houston does (the exception being RGV and San Antonio).

There's a reason why "Pasadena, N.L." is a meme.

No one is undermining your achievements. But I just don't think you could make KQQK work in Phoenix or Las Vegas.
