Woody & Jim returning?

Woody & Jim hosted a "tell all" Facebook live last night announcing they are returning next Monday, 7/22. They have not said what station but did say they have been leaving "Easter Eggs" in their recent posts. The only one that sticks out is a "Totally Hits 93.3 ID card and lanyard". This could just be to throw people off their path.

They had former show members on during the live, which makes me think they were in their old building. Also, a few weeks ago they made a FB post outside of their old building saying their ID card still didn't work a year later. Would it be going to far to think they will end up at 98 or the Rock at their old company? Both stations have national morning shows and not local shows. Or, is a format change coming for 93.3? Signal doesn't seem to make sense, but another one of their recent FB videos showed them crashing 102.5 the Game's local show at an event. Cromwell owns both 102.5 and 93.3.

I would say this confirms it. Screengrab from one of their videos. "Woody and Jim" logo above "Totally Hits 93.3, Totally Nashville". 93.3 will be flipping.

Also a second sign in the studio. "93.3 is your at work statation with woody and jim in the morning and totally hits all day".

Well, the 93.3 aspect may just be a big gimmick. Why leave a set of clues throughout the videos? I've seen stations in the past purchase fake domains and set up fake Facebook pages just to throw people off. You don't want a competitor to make a move before you. Perhaps they will end up on one of Cromwell's bigger signals.

I brought this to their attention. Interesting they're not going out on a limb that it's 93.3. But we all know---- yes, we do!
You may have messaged me, but I have known of their upcoming return for weeks if not months and had already seen the video. There's potentially additional shoes to drop as well.

Keep in mind, RadioInsight has a different target audience than here. One is an industry news publication. This is a discussion group where rumors and such can be parsed.

I think Cromwell combining their two sports stations is more likely. The question is which has a better signal? It doesn't make sense putting a major morning show on a translator.

If W &J can increase sales enough to cover their salaries it makes sense. They might be working for a lot less than before. There could be bonuses for sales increases, ratings increases, or possible syndication. I doubt the terms of the contract will be public knowledge. If they are there in 2 or 3 years my best guess everything worked out financially.

Here's the rest of the story:

Cromwell loves their translators. They ran this station as an HD2 w/translator:

They are back! Totally Hits 93.3 WPRT HD 4 - my link is showing *radiostationUSA.fm* - The “hits” are “classic hits”. Have heard Opportunities by Pet Shop Boys, DoYa by ELO and Raspberry Beret by Prince. Woody and Jim sound as good as they ever did.
