Tucson What happened to the groove 106.3? Format change?

If not they should slowly evolve the station into a Hispanic leaning rhythmic station. Tucson is mainly a white and Hispanic town.

They just played Bruno mars. It's supposed to be an oldies format did they change formats?
KTGV has been a Rhythmic AC for quite sometime.
It's a really weird format they even play Katy Perry which I don't consider an oldies song.
I didn't know you were the be/all end all on what is considered Oldies or not? Some of Katy Perry's songs are 15 years old. Classic Hits stations like WCBS-FM and KRTH play Bruno Mars, which gets into below...

That's 100% what the station has always been. Please remember that radio formats are not only determined by the music they play, but the demographics they serve and that is exactly who they are targeting.

Hispanic on the South side of Tucson and on the north side White
Dude....really?

Remember what this whole area was 170 years ago.

Mexico.

K.m. Richards do you have info on the shares for groove 106.3. is it a top ten biller?
David and I already answered this in the PM you sent in addition to posting here, but it is worth noting in public:

Neither of us have access to demo breakouts other than in markets where we have consulting clients (and even then, they have to be Nielsen subscribers, and we can only summarize rankings, not post actual shares). Most of my clients are small markets, many of them outside of Nielsen-rated markets anyway. My largest market is #70 Albuquerque, and David's main client is Televisa/Univisión which does not subscribe to the ratings outside of PPM markets.

So we're not going to be much help in this regard. I politely suggest that you not ask.

Which songs? Are they pitched? Audacy pitched Titanium and TiK ToK on WNEW. I checked the WWTS? list for WCBS; I didn't see Mars on there unless I missed it.

I hate to have to correct my old friend Lance, but he's wrong.

WCBS and KRTH are in my list of monitored stations on Mediabase, and I opened my downloaded airplay report for the last seven days of July. There are four Bruno Mars songs listed (one, a duet with Mark Ronson) and none of them had any play on either station.
