Rameen Madani Also Part Of iHeart Layoffs

Rameen Madani departs as Program Director of Hot AC “Mix 96.9” KMXP and CHR “104.7 Kiss-FM” KZZP Phoenix. Madani moved into his now former position in March 2022 after serving as APD/MD of the two stations from April 2018 until then. He previously programmed Hot AC “My 92.9” KMIY and was APD of CHR “93.7 KRQ” KRQQ Tucson from 2013-2018 as well as serving as Digital Director for iHeartMedia Tucson and also held the Digital Director duties for iHeartMedia Colorado Springs from 2008-2013.

What's the last to go? The iHeart or the iBrain? Pretty soon they'll be down to two clusters: A thru M states and N thru W states.
The old joke used to be "will the last person out the door at Clear Channel please turn out the lights?" Then just when you thought they couldn't lay off any more people, iHeart...finds a way.

I suspect it will end shortly after the VP of National Programming/Morning/Midday/Afternoon Show Host/Promotions Director/Van Driver/Engineer/Receptionist finally keels over from overwork, and the entire company will have to shut down because "we just had that one guy!"

The funny part about this is that iHeart seemingly has an endless supply of people to lay off. How could that be? Because in the next budget cycle, the stations will often replace the people who were previously laid off. They never run out of people. Yes iHeart is laying off staff. But at the same time, there's a job opening posted right now at KNIX to replace "barrel boy."
