Nobody said they weren't. But it'll be 3-4 current/recurrents per hour and 7-8 golds. It was previously reversed. They're still playing currents and recurrents.
Bad take on many accounts... KS was a powerhouse. With loss of Jammin and the Classic Hip Hop version of Flo, they now have the market to themselves and this shift puts them back in the 25-54 demographic wheelhouse. I'd be shocked if six months from now they're not in the mid-high 3's as they're now targeting the demos still using radio. This is going to disappoint the groupies out there, but a market that's so sports-crazy and intent on Doing Butch Mountainey Things That Cost Money is not likely to be one where "rhythmic" anything does well on a commercial basis.

As Lance said, the station is programming to the demos that still use radio.Honestly it's kind of shocking to see a metro the size of Denver scale back its Rhythmic offerings so much. One Rhythmic outlet with a mix of currents and throwbacks seems to indicate the continued stagnation of this format on a national basis. What I mean by that is we don't see Rhythmics being launched or staying in the game like we did a while back.

18-34 has not only moved to streaming, but in certain kinds of music OTA licensed radio stations can't touch the lyric content of many of the songs.
