with Adam Jones and Rich Keefe.

08/26: 2 to 6pm: "WEEI Afternoon Show "
with Andy Hart and Christian Arcand.


Megan Ottolini is staying on as a full time writer and host fill in.
 
A marginal upgrade but what’s to lose when literally all you have is AM drive. A shakeup was inevitable obviously, but not sure this is much more than rearranging Titanic deck chairs.

Pairing Keefe and Jones makes sense. Hopefully Megan embraces her writing career. Feel bad for her. You’re never smarter than when you work for a #1..never dumber than when work for a loser. Jones can vouch for that. Until 98.5 messes up—WEEI remains a choice the market doesn’t need.
 
I think this is a good move overall. Jones was at his least annoying with Keefe. I liked Mego with Arcand when the show was Jones free. Hopefully Arcand and Hart is less bombastic than Felger and Mazz. This could get me to change to WEEI from 10-6.
 
Jones and Arcand had a good thing going. Meggo was kind of a weird fit there. Arcand's time to shine but what a terrible name for the show.

ALL of the commentary from management centered around the mid-day team. That’s where they think they can compete & they like their team. “WEEI Afternoon Show” pretty much tells you everything. No commitment to “names” because there are none—just generic. They’re not even really trying to compete with Felger. I suspect all of their promotion will be AM Drive and MidDays.

They have reached a new low. I expect the station as a whole to fold within 5 years.
