I didn't make these names up

A DJ on a standards station said a certain song was written by Nikki Sixx and Mick Mars and then said, "I didn't make these names up."

I guess a lot of people who share my musical taste have never heard of a lot of people. Unfortunately, for some reason I know those names.

The funny thing is that although the DJ didn't make those names up, the artists did. Neither of them are their birth names.
Frank Carlton Serafino Ferrana Jr. Wow. No wonder he changed it. Frank Carlton would have made a good stage name. In the 50s.

Robert Alan Deal. Yeah, he had to do something.

I don't even know what the song was. I forgot to look.

They were in Motley Crue with Tommy Lee and Vince Neal, probably not their real names either. I couldn't even use my real name when I was in a band and still don't, Mitch Brewer was made up by a bandmate in a bar. I walked away from the table and the waitress asked my bandmate what my name was, she looked at the beer I was drinking, a Michelob and told the waitress I was Mitch Brewer. I came back to the table and had a new name for the last 30 some odd years. I do use my real name for real jobs and bills and family and normal things.
