If I missed it. I sincerely apologize. But I’m Figuring That their Surprise on Tuesday Morning Will be the TJ Show. Exactly what type of show does he do? Is this Emmis’s permanent plan ? Or is he a Temp until they sell the station. ?
They, Emmis, has said that this is a fill in show, not permanent. If I missed it. I sincerely apologize. But I’m Figuring That their Surprise on Tuesday Morning Will be the TJ Show. Exactly what type of show does he do? Is this Emmis’s permanent plan ? Or is he a Temp until they sell the station. ?
Thanks for the info I appreciate it. But what type of Show is it ? I’ve never heard of him beforeThey, Emmis, has said that this is a fill in show, not permanent.
Nassau-Suffolk is the name of the market, although WBEA serves only a small part of it. Their so-called Dallas station is actually in the Paris, Texas area, which is about 100 miles northeast of Dallas. If I am to believe their website, the TJ Show has 60 American affiliates, plus one in the U.K. and another in the Yukon. That doesn't count the pop-up on 98.7.
But they do stretch the truth. Their station on the East End of L.I. is listed as "Nassau-Suffolk", though I seriously doubt anyone in Nassau County ever pulled in WBEA or any or its predecessors over the air.
The UK station is a tiny operation, a 50 watt LPFM covering the American airbases and surrounding towns at Lakenheath and Mildenhall. It carries a few U.S. syndicated shows. TJ is sandwiched in a block of syndicated programming between John Tesh and Rick Dees.If I am to believe their website, the TJ Show has 60 American affiliates, plus one in the U.K. and another in the Yukon. There is a lot of stretching the truth on that affiliate list...like the Dallas affiliate, the affiliates in the Memphis, Jackson MS, Abilene TX are nowhere close to providing a signal into those markets. The Baltimore outlet is some sort of online radio station.Nassau-Suffolk is the name of the market, although WBEA serves only a small part of it. "Nassau - Suffolk" is the name of the market is in, irrespective of coverage. Normal way of listing one's market; I've never seen someone list their limited coverage station as "...parts of Nassau-Suffolk"!Their station on the East End of L.I. is listed as "Nassau-Suffolk", though I seriously doubt anyone in Nassau County ever pulled in WBEA or any or its predecessors over the air.
And this may blow your mind, but radio syndication is usually sold by TELEVISION market. So in theory they could claim WBEA as a New York clearance. If I am to believe their website, the TJ Show has 60 American affiliates, plus one in the U.K. and another in the Yukon. They are short changing themselves then since they could count TWO Dallas affiliates rather than just the one they do....lol. One 100 miles northeast of Dallas and another 140 miles southwest of Dallas but both within the TV market. And this may blow your mind, but radio syndication is usually sold by TELEVISION market. Yes. TJ promised "commercial free" only for the weekend. Are commercials likely during the TJ show?
Not quite. It's to generate exposure and promotion nationally. Considering my RadioInsight news story on late Friday night is nearing the 10,000 pageview mark, He'll be getting it.On air audition in NY. Maybe carried by another station later
TJ Taormina went to Fairleigh Dickinson University where one of his professors was Judy DeAngelis.I heard a new spot from Judy DeAngelis. She said a somewhat familiar voice will be returning in less than 48 hours.
Knowing what we know now, this makes sense. The host of the TJ show was part of the Elvis Duran show, which of course airs on Z100.
Thank. you 😊
