KKHH HD-3 is of course BetQL, the fulltime sibling to the 650 AM daytimer. I only occasionally listen to them (zero interest in sports betting/gambling) but have heard Spanish language spots from time to time.Nevermind 😂 I was about to post about KKHH HD3 I was crawling down, and they were playing commercials in Spanish, so I thought they had probably flipped to a Spanish language format. But I guess it was just one ad.
@chriscervantez picked it up a month ago and said the same thing. I haven’t plugged in headphones to check myselfHowever, it sounds like music is only coming from the left channel.
Thanks for reminding me about this! Just sent the Channel Q Brand Manager an email about this. He’s an awesome guy, so fingers crossed these issues will get fixed soon!! 🙂KKHH-HD2 appears to finally be listenable again. I don’t hear the loud buzz in the background of the music anymore. However, it sounds like music is only coming from the left channel. The TOH ID plays in stereo, then I go back to only hearing music from the left side of my car. Anybody else hearing this issue?
(P.S. how much money do you think we’d have to pay Audacy to get them to bring back artist/song info on their HD subchannels? I never know what I’m listening to!)
Sounds like it’s been fixed! Listening today and it sounds much better.Update: Audacy Houston engineering will look into the Channel Q issues early next week.
Can confirm the static sound is gone and the stereo sounds good. Only thing to me is the audio bandwidth seems lower than expected.Sounds like it’s been fixed! Listening today and it sounds much better.
In KC, one of the Audacy stations has a personal injury or accident lawyer ad as part of the RDS.KRBE appears to have added a Ramji Law Group ad
on its RDS & HD text during songs now. It’ll show the song info for about 90 seconds, then the Ramji text for 30 seconds, then back to the song info.
I believe the Audacy stations have done this same type of thing for a while now… was wondering when it was coming to KRBE.
HD info is also still ~15 seconds delayed on KRBE between songs. Regular RDS has no delay.
All of the Audacy, iHeart, and Urban One stations in Houston have had this for quite some time. Better Call Saul!In KC, one of the Audacy stations has a personal injury or accident lawyer ad as part of the RDS.
Throw in Univision to the list as well. They were probably one of the first in the market to do so on KOVE-FM.All of the Audacy, iHeart, and Urban One stations in Houston have had this for quite some time. Better Call Saul!
I'm still unable to get their HD locked in. But I know currently them and KKHH have their RDS off. Don't know if it's related to what you're hearing.KHMX seems to have tweaked their audio chain. Sounds absolutely terrible today on their HD carrier, like it's heavily peaking and over modulated on all of the elements coming out of Wide Orbit.
I also still can’t get KHMX to lock. When I messaged them about the problem earlier this week, they informed me their HD channel is off. No indication if it’ll come back, but it’s interesting that artist/song info is still transmitting over HD.I'm still unable to get their HD locked in. I disabled the HD reception on my truck’s tuner, and audio sounds just as painful. Almost sounds like someone’s got every setting on the Omnia cranked to “12”.I'm still unable to get their HD locked in. But I know currently them and KKHH have their RDS off.
