KILT's new home

The project is nearing completion now; and since February KILT has been operating from the new site nondirectionally and with reduced power from one tower under special temporary authority. “We will be submitting our final numbers to the FCC very soon,” Gonzales said.
Anyone know what their power is currently with the ND STA?

The Radio World article states, "....initial operation is with reduced power until the Mexican problem is resolved.” Maybe that's the non-directional 915 watts mentioned above.
Article also states, "KILT also would decrease power from 5 kW day/night to 2.7 kW day and 2.5 kW at night, in part to meet concerns of Mexican authorities." That cuts KILT output power by 50%. Presumably that reduced power would return when the current 915 watts is ended.
Hard to know why Mexico has such concerns about KILT power levels on AM 610, since the 3 stations there are nowhere near Texas and have low night power levels.

XEGS is waaay out west in Sinaloa across from Baja Peninsula. (25 KW day, 1KW night, 900 miles away)
XEUF is in extreme southern Mexico in Michoacan, near Jalisco. (5 KW day, 1KW night, 700 miles away)
XEUM is on the Yucatan Peninsula. (10 KW day, 200 watts night, 700 miles away)

It’s unclear why the KILT day and night power could not eventually return to 5KW where it has been for decades.
With the Audacy bankruptcy ongoing, here’s how KILT is shown on the FCC website: “Licensee: AUDACY LICENSE, LLC, AS DEBTOR-IN-POSSESSION”- hopefully, that will end soon while Audacy sheds debt payments (abandons loan commitments).

Is KILT now running with the 2.5kw directional night power from the KNTH site? I've noticed that KILT is stronger than they used to be (with more slop onto 600/620) at my home near City Centre (I-10/BW8). Would that be consistent with the new setup?

KILT filed a License to Cover request with the FCC, which would indicate construction is complete.

I have recently heard KILT in Austin and San Marcos with signal strengths similar to those from the old transmitter site, so they appear to be at their newly licensed power levels.

I can also hear the sunrise/sunset pattern switches; carrier drops for two or three seconds. Night signal is stronger at my NW Harris County location.

If anyone who lives in Corpus Christi, how is the reception day or night?
Not in Corpus, Chuck, but KILT hasn't been underneath KCSP in Kansas City since the change. I'm up in the pine curtain of east Texas and getting a weak WAGG from Birmingham at night, when nulling KC, in KILT's place.

KILT 610 has filed to increase its day power from 2.7kw using five towers to 4kw using six towers at the KNTH site. It will slightly change the day signal contour, with a somewhat tighter pattern south of the transmitter and a little extra coverage to the north. No change to the current 2.5kw night signal.

IIRC this is a rework of the original CP request for the KNTH diplex a few years ago, which was for 4kw days but trimmed by the FCC.
