New Radio Station in Springfield, Ohio

What does anyone know about this? Is this the new LPFM that was given a CP for 97.5?

Here's what I read,
"On Saturday night, I found myself at a gathering for a brand-new Haitian radio station in town that just happened to plan its debut for this weekend. Miguelito Jerome stood behind a desk with DJ equipment and a microphone. A handful of other Haitian men, dressed in new suits and flashy jewelry, looked prepared to pop a bottle of champagne.

Jerome arrived in Springfield three years ago. He had been operating a furniture business in town, but he shut it down to focus on this new venture in radio, New Diaspora Live. It will operate out of CoHatch, a trendy market and communal space for events like farmers markets in the heart of Springfield, just across the street from City Hall, itself a sign of the economic resurgence here."

Springfield may actually need a station like this. Just wondering if it's an internet only station? Or, the NEW LPFM? Or, is it a pirate?

Click on the link you posted in the first post and read the About Us page. Why don't you actually read about what the station is, before accusing them of being a pirate station?

Sorry for getting frustrated, but it bothers me when people don't read links they post and then ask a question that's answered in the link they post.

The broadcaster is brand new, yet is already claiming to be a "Top 10 station" and knows the exact age and gender breakdown of their listeners?

Since they're an internet only station and there probably aren't that many other Haitian internet only stations in or near Springfield, it isn't that farfetched to claim to be a "Top 10 station" in that format for the market.

We are assuming that a minority community has all the streaming devices that we have. It would be nice if they were also on the air.

NDL is an internet only radio station - One of the guys from CNN actually met with them recently doing interviews in town. (I saw something on Instagram stories the other night)

The 97.5 FM LPFM CP is owned by Victory Baptist Church of Springfield Township, Ohio which is unrelated.
