Chicago Sports Network strikes deal with DirecTV

It's official. Chicago Sports Network will be available upon launch on October 1 to DirecTV subscribers that have the Choice package in parts of a five state footprint. Much of Illinois and Iowa as well as parts of Indiana, Wisconsin and Michigan (league blackouts will still apply). It will inherit the same channel spot that NBC Sports Chicago has had.

So is nbc sports chicago completely shutting down?
