Owner ran Conexión? I thought Conexión was leasing. Wasn’t La Nueva Dallas on 101.7 in Houston while Conexión had moved to 101.7 Pasadena ?
conexion never moved to pasadena! pasadena had aliento .. different people! Guel helped make the move and he provided a feed while they were getting up and ready, but the owner always retained control of the station now he is leasing it. was able to pick up Conexion 101.7 in Galveston today.. For sure not part of the coverage they are licensed for. Will be interesting to see what translator can survive since i think they will both be killed once sbs goes on the air.

Oh that’s right, I confused the brands since the formats were similar. Thanks for clarifying.

Not a very good way to launch a new station. It is now 6:45 and 101.7FM and 106.9 HD3 are still simulcasting CONEXIÓN. From the Comments I have been reading on FACEBOOK (yes using Facebook as source 😂) people have been complaining about how it is CONEXIÓN and changes then back to Conexión. And no one could hear the morning show.

By the way, morning show seems to be interesting. They have Rolis, Doctor Z, EL GREÑAS and Chayan. The last 2 I have no idea who they are 😂.

Makes me wonder.. I was under the idea that 101.7 was stuck to 1540 but i guess it is not.. If only 101.7 is on the air and 1540 is running a different station, then that means 101.7 Pasadena has no primary . Why lease out 101.7 Pasadena without the AM that would have given them more coverage. Not sure why they have not started on the other 101.7 that i did notice it is not as loud as it was over the weekend.

KHPT HD-3 could be the primary for both K269GS and K269GT, assuming GS isn’t tied to KGBC. Haven’t seen any FCC filings for GS that would change the primary, though.

KGBC is essentially a zombie station these days, apparently serving as a primary for K287BQ. No primary station change filing for BQ that I’ve seen reflecting that situation.

Currently out of town so can’t check OTA.

I don't see any transfer of ownership of KGBC to SDK FRANCO
Your remarks are often quite savage. Ownership is unrelated to the designation of a primary station. What prompts your desire to initiate conflict? Power 105.3 FM has been broadcasting on KGBC AM for an extended period. It appears you may have a personal issue with the individuals at 105.3 FM. You also asserted some time ago that KGBC AM could not serve as the primary station to K287BQ due to contour issues. Stop the BS because unfortunate that misinformation is often accepted as truth by many individuals.

Hold your Horses Astro i know you work for them and all but nothing personal here. I have told you before i know some of the talents because they have worked at univision but i dont know your boss or have ever even met the sdk franco bosses. this is about facts and rules that have been broken .. as far as a know a station and sublease a station and that is whats happening here. Point2 The company you are working is leasing out 101.7 out of Pasadena knowing that the people that are leasing it dont have a primary signal .. putting in danger the license that is owned by someone else. stop me if i'm lying. 3rd KGBC still shows (according to fcc ) as the primary signal for 92.5 that is also not true i mean you seem to act like i am making things up here but anyone can look up kgbc in the fcc files and see this. Again this is not personal i actually like power and think that even with a limited signal they have done great. You also claim that POWER has been feeding from Kgbc for an extended period that is also not true up to maybe 40 days ago it was la ranchera. Not power. Another detail the primary should be feeding the translator and we both know that this is also not true you have 2 Barrix boxes feeding from the studio and legally the feed should be hitting Galveston first and then downtown. I can go on and on. I can same the same thing about 104.5 and other translators but nothing personal i get you have to defend who ever signs your checks but lets not make it seem like its personal when I have no relation or dislike anyone you work with or for.
