Today will spin the wheel of hosts again as Hoda Kotb announced yesterday she is stepping down from the show in 2025. She has co-hosted Today for 17 years, taking over the main anchor role after Matt Lauer got cancelled.

I tried watching her with Kathie Lee Gifford once and I couldn’t believe they were drinking on air at 10 in the morning.
Yeah, but it made for some great sketch comedy bits
When her next role doesn't involve drinking, she'll say, "It Kotb true!"
I'll say this again, on behalf of the people who still make a living on the air (I retired in January).
Please watch how you write your headlines. "Hoda Kotb out at Today" sounds like a dismissal, even with "will remain with NBC". "Announces she's leaving/stepping down", is more accurate.
Nuance matters. Almost five years ago, I was one of 1,500 people nationwide laid off in a single week by iHeart. The headline of a post on this site was: "Michael Hagerty removed from KFBK." Made it sound like security had to carry me out (they didn't).
